  • Very good headphones

I’m loving them so far, they fit better then when I used an AirPods Pro and the memory foam earbuds are great. I wish there was an app to go along with this like with bose and Sony headphones

  • This is innovation

The killer feature is Dualstream. Being able to mix audio sources (phone + Steam Deck/PC) is amazing. Even just having the case be able to act as a BT transmitter (with across the house to downstairs range) is already inpressive, then the Genki team had to impress harder with the dual sources and microphone in the case. My comparison devices are the Sony WF-1000XM3, and Sennheiser + Massdrop HD6XX. Audio quality is decent, and for gaming the clarity is excellent. ANC is quite good, and the mic placement prevents wind noise. The Sony buds are terrible with the wind. I cannot judge mic quality as I haven't listened to a recording yet. One of my Discord buddies did complain about some noise from the case, but others did not. I could also make a call while driving my loud car with the top down, so it should be fine. I will admit, Waveform isn't perfect. At the time of writing this, the app is yet to be found on the Play Store, so some gripes may be addressed soon with firmware updates. - Infrequently get loud feedback squeal when ANC is on while I'm adjusting the earbuds - Case battery drain using Dualstream, or maybe incorrect battery readout, as I kept using it and it didn't die. Need to use more to find out. - Had trouble getting case to go into pairing mode one time, but it eventually worked - Chimes and jingles are pleasant, but would like to disable, lower the vol, etc as options. - Ability to customize controls, although defaults are great. - Unknown if this exists, if not, sleep earbuds if idle for certain length of time.

3.5 Stars.... Almost everything you want

It's actually 3.5 stars. But that's not an option on the site.

Overall I will say I like the product. It does have the functions promised but there are a few snags in the design decisions they made.

They don't tell you about the case mic in all the promotional material. They only refer to it in the manual which is available online, but you if don't download it you'll never know, and even then it's not quite explained. It's also mentioned in the FAQ and in complaints in the Genki Labs discord. Lots of those....

When you use dual stream mode, the default mic is the case mic. This defeats the purpose of having a wireless way to get your voice across the living room. They want you to plug the case into a console, but most of our consoles are on a shelf next to our televisions. It would be different if we all had desk setups and our consoles/PCs were right in front of us (like in the promo video) then it would make sense.

The case mic may be a better quality microphone, but it only sounds good if your mouth is 3 to 6 inches away from it. If it's 5ft away you will sound 5ft away lol.

You can switch the mic to the ear buds mic, but they are effectively useless. They make you sound like you are under water but also in a bathroom really far away. Not good. It also switches the Bluetooth profile if you do that, making your first source sound like its a 16khz sample rate. Again it defeats the purpose of having a mic for communication when the stand alone mics on the Buds don't…

Great headphones with one small issue

I've only had these headphones for a few days but I'm in love. They have such a good sound and the battery life is astronomical by comparison to my old Pixel Buds. I do miss the swipe for volume gesture and sometimes my taps register incorrectly but otherwise these are such a big upgrade I can forgive these small issues.

Fantastic pair of gaming earbuds

I bought these to take on a road trip, and i really like them. The audio quality is quite good, and the included adapters are great for getting audio out of devices that don’t natively offer Bluetooth audio. I use the 3.5mm cable with a small adapter to hook it up to my Game Boy Advance, and Analogue Pocket, and it works really well for that.

I’m also impressed with the dual stream function. I don’t find myself using it a lot but it’s really handy when I do use it, definitely a killer feature in my opinion.

I’d highly recommend updating these earbuds with the free App offered by Genki before you use them seriously, as the update improves sound quality and noise cancelling.

Overall I’m impressed, thanks Genki!
