These earbuds are extremely useful and the dualstream functionality is true innovation in the electronics space, but there are too many caveats for me to give a resounding recommend for them.
I use these for work and to stream in my office. The sound that comes out of them is very good in this case, but they have a huge problem: the microphone is on the case and has to be pointed at your mouth from maybe 12” to 18” away to sound audible. In any other configuration my voice is either very muffled or I have to use handset mode, which kills all audio quality. I need to use my own microphone to sound good.
As a plus, these work with pretty much any audio source because they use both usb audio and can connect to a 3.5mm jack. This makes late night gaming sessions very good, with the caveat that I need a separate mic if I’m playing on the couch.
For regular bluetooth earbuds, they get the job done. In this mode the mic is on the headset and they sound great, and audio quality is really good. I can’t recommend them for outdoor use, however. The earbuds sit on my ear rather than go into my ear canal, so the earbuds don’t seal in my ear. I’ve tried all configurations of the included tips and wings but only one combination is comfortable, and no combination actually seals for use. This makes the included noise cancellation useless.
The buds are fine, I use mine as I’ve created a use for them, but I don’t recommend them for an all-round set of buds, which for $200 I would want them…
