Easily my favorite power brick!
Love this! Tiny form factor, nice product design, and great build quality (but I would be worried if I dropped it cause I am clumsy AF). The little display is super cool with the startup animation and the detailed info it provides. For me, I just need the percent but amazing that Genki went above and beyond. And the rubber on the exterior is nice way to protect the non-magsafe side.
I got my Energy Pack the day before leaving on a trip from LA to Boston. I charged my Switch 2 to 100% and started playing right as the plane took off. I was running Zelda BOTW with the display at about 25% brightness and bluetooth headphones and drained the battery to 5%. Plugged in the EP and by the time I landed my Switch 2 was back up to 81% and the EP was at 17%. I did play Cocoon for the last hour of the flight which is a less demanding game but thought it would be important to note the change. During the trip, I used the EP for my phone and having magsafe was SO amazing.
The only thing that did not go over so well were the adhesive magsafe rings that were provided. The heat from the EP had the ring peel off on the first charge. And each way on my flight, the EP would fall in my lap with the ring attached to it. A little bit of a bummer but I know Genki didn’t engineer the adhesive and I’m sure they can correct this down the road.
